Keterangan
Jerusalem is shown under siege as armed soldiers scale the outer defenses, clash on the walls, and press toward the sacred center of the city. Smoke rises behind the Temple, placing the focus on the catastrophe of Judah’s fall and the burning of the house of the Lord. The fortified city, ladders, shields, and invading troops evoke the biblical account of Jerusalem’s destruction after persistent covenant rebellion.

This artwork is suited for teaching on the fall of Jerusalem, the destruction of the Temple, exile, divine judgment, repentance, and the sorrow of a people carried away from their land. It visually supports lessons from Kings, Chronicles, Jeremiah, and Lamentations, where the ruin of the city becomes both a historical tragedy and a theological warning.

Scriptures
2 Chronicles 36:17-19   2 Kings 25:8-10   Jeremiah 52:12-14   Lamentations 1:1-5

2 Chronicles 36

17 Therefore he brought up against them the king of the Chaldeans, who killed their young men with the sword in the house of their sanctuary and had no compassion on young man or virgin, old man or aged. He gave them all into his hand. 18 And all the vessels of the house of God, great and small, and the treasures of the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king and of his princes, all these he brought to Babylon. 19 And they burned the house of God and broke down the wall of Jerusalem and burned all its palaces with fire and destroyed all its precious vessels.

2 Kings 25

8 In the fifth month, on the seventh day of the month—that was the nineteenth year of King Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon—Nebuzaradan, the captain of the bodyguard, a servant of the king of Babylon, came to Jerusalem. 9 And he burned the house of the LORD and the king's house and all the houses of Jerusalem; every great house he burned down. 10 And all the army of the Chaldeans, who were with the captain of the guard, broke down the walls around Jerusalem.

Jeremiah 52

12 In the fifth month, on the tenth day of the month—that was the nineteenth year of King Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon—Nebuzaradan the captain of the bodyguard, who served the king of Babylon, entered Jerusalem. 13 And he burned the house of the LORD, and the king's house and all the houses of Jerusalem; every great house he burned down. 14 And all the army of the Chaldeans, who were with the captain of the guard, broke down all the walls around Jerusalem.

Lamentations 1

1 How lonely sits the city that was full of people! How like a widow has she become, she who was great among the nations! She who was a princess among the provinces has become a slave. 2 She weeps bitterly in the night, with tears on her cheeks; among all her lovers she has none to comfort her; all her friends have dealt treacherously with her; they have become her enemies. 3 Judah has gone into exile because of affliction and hard servitude; she dwells now among the nations, but finds no resting place; her pursuers have all overtaken her in the midst of her distress. 4 The roads to Zion mourn, for none come to the festival; all her gates are desolate; her priests groan; her virgins have been afflicted, and she herself suffers bitterly. 5 Her foes have become the head; her enemies prosper, because the LORD has afflicted her for the multitude of her transgressions; her children have gone away, captives before the foe.
